A few years ago, when I bought this model from HW-Elite, I was not satisfied with it.
The wheels were to small for a racer and the car was standing to high on its wheels.
And there were a lot more cosmetic things I wanted to change, because I did not liked it all.
First a few pictures, how the model was before changing.
(I am sorry for the small pictures, they are coming from a Belgium forum, it was not allowed to place bigger ones)
I wanted to make a clean model without race numbers and commercials. (like always )
It's a little bit difficult to tell the whole story, but pictures will show everything.
Sanding the bodyparts:
Grey zinc-primer:
White-primer:
Painting the colour: Rosso Corsa (of course!)
Sanding the body-parts again and put BMF around the window frames.
A few layers of clear coat:
Before I am polishing the paint, I let it dry for a few weeks.
In meanwhile I could rebuild the wheels.
After polishing the paint we can start to build up the model again.
And then there is a moment the model is finished.
Thanks for watching!
John

Thank you guys!
@Thierry: To much honer.
It's only a new paintjob and a few changes, nothing more!
I have done a few things what HW forget to do.
But I have done another one.
So much changes for that model and I called it: 246 GT/SP
It's a fantasy model and still a "WIP" for a few years.
I will show some pictures of it soon.

OK, a few teasers:
Here compared with the original model:
For the moment, it looks like this.
I was still not satisfied with the complete shape of the body.
The last few years I had no time at all to finish this project.
I have so much other things to do, but once..............................
